FAQ's

Whether you’re thinking about joining the team or working with Central Seal on a project, it’s natural to have questions.

GENERAL & COMPANY

What does Central Seal do?

Central Seal provides professional roadway striping, pavement marking removal, airport markings, and roadway signage services for state DOTs, municipalities, airports, and prime contractors across Kentucky and surrounding states. Our work helps keep roads safer, clearer, and more efficient for the traveling public.

Where is Central Seal located?

Central Seal is headquartered in Danville, Kentucky, at 521 Ensslin Drive. From there, our crews operate throughout Kentucky and into neighboring states as project schedules require.

How long has Central Seal been in business?

Central Seal was founded in the early 1980s and has grown steadily over the decades from a single striping crew into a multi-state operation with a modern fleet, advanced facility, and employee-owned culture.

EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP (ESOP)

What is an ESOP?

An ESOP, or Employee Stock Ownership Plan, is a retirement benefit that gives employees ownership in the company through employer-funded stock contributions. At Central Seal, employees do not buy shares—shares are earned through continued employment.

When do employees become owners?

Ownership begins as soon as an employee becomes eligible for the ESOP plan. Shares are contributed annually by the company and vest over time, allowing employees to build meaningful ownership as they grow their careers.

How does the ESOP benefit employees long-term?

As Central Seal grows, the value of the ESOP grows. Employees build retirement wealth tied directly to the success they help create—on top of wages and other retirement benefits.

What happens to my ESOP if I leave or retire?

When an employee retires or leaves the company, the ESOP repurchases their vested shares at current value, providing a retirement or transition payout according to the plan terms.
